About Norfolk & Norwich

norfolknorwich.com is an independent guide to the county of Norfolk and the city of Norwich in the East of England – written for visitors planning a trip and for local people looking for something new to do close to home.

What makes this guide different

  • Live information on every page – current weather, UV, air quality and pollen, plus sea conditions and estimated tides on the coast and live river levels on the Broads.
  • Official food hygiene ratings for thousands of restaurants, cafés, pubs, takeaways and B&Bs, from the Food Standards Agency.
  • Every listed building in our towns and villages, linked to the official Historic England record.
  • Wildlife recorded near you – the birds, mammals and plants most often seen around each village, from the National Biodiversity Network.
  • Town guides with visitor essentials and current places to eat, stay and visit, and a Plan your trip hub that brings it all together.

What you will find here

Independent and up to date

We are not the official tourist board and we are not owned by any hotel, attraction or booking company. Our town guides and articles were reviewed against current sources in November 2026, and each guide shows what has changed. Things move quickly though – restaurants open and close and events change dates – so please check with the venue before you travel.

Listings and links

Places are included because we think they are useful to visitors, not because they have paid. Some accommodation pages link to Booking.com or Trip.com search results so you can check availability; these are ordinary links and we do not receive commission from them. Businesses can still advertise with us, and any paid feature will be clearly marked.
